procedures

Check in Instructions:

Door Code: 4 digit date of your arrival Example: October 05 (1005) . There are two doors to enter the home. The mud room entry and the main entry. This code will work for both pin pads during the length of your stay. The code for the mountain bikes in the shed on the side of the house is 2022.

You are welcome to check-in any time after 4:00 PM on the first day of your stay; any other check-in time would have to be mutually agreed upon in advance (at least 72hrs) as the listing may be occupied at that time or may not be adequately cleaned in time for your arrival.

EARLY CHECK IN: Would you like early check in? We're happy to offer early check-in for a $50 fee. Just let me know if you're interested & I can set it up for you!

Please let us know what time we can expect you so we ensure we are available in case of any issues getting access.

Couple things to note to ensure a pleasant stay:

1) please park to the right of the home on the dirt lot area. Do not block our neighbors please.

2) no candles are to be lit in our home, they are decorative. If they are lit, you will be charged a $100 fee.

3) do not feed the wildlife, leave any trash or food outside. The bears are awake and active. This for your safety and the animals.

4) if you go hiking, take bear spray (located on the mail/key holder in mudroom). If not familiar with bear safety, please review with whole party prior to arrival.

5) drive very slow and carefully once you get onto Finley Point from the freeway. Dawn and dusk especially. There are hundreds of deer everywhere. Be alert and drive slow!

6) please use plastic cups outside. They are located on the bottom shelf of the pantry. Absolutely no glass in the hottub or outside. There are specific towels for the hottub and beach located in a basket by the basement glass slider

7) We have Alexas on the main level, basement and master for you to emjoy music. We have our own playlist we made if want to enjoy the MONTANA experience. Say “ALEXA, play MODERN MOUNTAIN WHISKEY ON SPOTIFY”

We look forward to hosting you and we hope that you enjoy your time in in Montana!

BOATING INFORMATION:

The boat ramp is a 3 minute drive from our house. It’s a shared boat ramp in an area called Timbershor and we have access to slip 10. You cannot leave your boat there, but can access dock and such. There is parking down in the area for your car as well

All outdoor activity items are located in

the storage area code “2022”.

Mountain Bikes

These bikes are new so please do not lay on the ground and always use the kick stand. They are on a rolling track with “J” hooks that swivel and are easily moved in and out. Rotate one bike at a time and store by alternating handle bar locations so that every item can fit back into the storage area. All bike helmets should be racked on hooks. We keep additional bike tubes, chains, tool kit, and a pump to ensure that these bikes are always operational. Given our remote location, we rely on our guests to make necessary repairs so please do your best to maintain these bikes for the next user.

SUP BOARDS

Sup Boards should be brought back to the house at the end of your stay. They can be deflated and stored inside the storage area or stored and locked using the designated racks outside the storage area. The lock should go through the leash box “O” ring and rack. Paddles should be stored inside the shed and in the event you break a fin or need a fin, please let us know. If during your stay you do decide to keep SUP boards for daily use by the lake, please make sure they are pulled to the tree line (off the rocks) and stored on their sides so wildlife doesn’t get injured.

Lily Pad

Please feel free to use the lily pad. This is a great addition to the house and everyone loves it. Please be careful hiking up and down to the lake given the size of this item. We have a tether line at the shore as well as a shoreline buoy that you can connect to. Do not leave this unattended at any time! When leaving the shore at the end of the day, please roll up and store past the tree line. At the end of your stay please leave it out to dry for 1 hour so we avoid any mold issues. Please roll this as tight as possible (2-people is best) and use the straps to store back in the shed.
